Video Link: MORNINGSIDE PARK NEAR GALLOWAY AND LAWRENCE
So…. I decided to go to MORNINGSIDE PARK. It was Saturday – TORONTO’S MOST SOCIAL DAY! MORNINGSIDE PARK somewhat cradles my hood – ‘West Hill’. The WEST HIGHLAND CREEK forms the west boundary of it, and the MAIN HIGHLAND CREEK the east boundary. (The EAST HIGHLAND CREEK empties into it between the two). Most of us in West Hill think of the MORNINGSIDE PARK that part of wilderness that is between Lawrence Ave E. and Ellesmere Rd along Morningside. In the beginning when I made this, I didn’t and I still don’t believe that the part along Lawrence Ave between Orton Park Rd. and Galloway Rd. is also called MORNINGSIDE PARK. It seems too big. I just checked the map again and south of Lawrence Ave E. it’s called ‘Highland Creek Park’. So for simplicity sake I’ll name the part immediately north of Lawrence Ave E. also the same thing.
I was very unhappy to see that it was INFESTED with DOG-STRANGLING VINE (proper name: Black-Swallow Wort). Next Summer I’ll focus on removing it.
